Forget About Mowing With a Robotic Lawn Mower

Are you too busy to mow the lawn? A robotic lawn mower will mow the lawn for you. Sure you may think it is the height of laziness, but it is really just a way to manage your time better and participate in activities that you enjoy more than mowing the lawn. It is not much different than a dishwasher or a washing machine. Another bonus is its environmental friendlyness. They use no gas and oil and therefore have no emissions.

How Does It Work?

You peg a wire around the edge of your lawn that the mower uses a sensor to determine where it needs to mow and never goes outside the boundaries. Then you simply push a button on the mower and it does the entire lawn for you. Some robotic mowers even have pre-programmed scheduling where it is totally hands free. It will mow for you every Friday at 8 a.m. if that is what you like. Robotic lawn mowing works by passing the lawn in criss-cross patterns ensuring that all the grass is cut and from different angles to prevent laying over of the grass.

How Does It Cut Grass?

It uses a battery to power several blades that is supposed to be equivalent to most push lawn mowers. Some models have a mulching system that eliminates the needs to bag clippings from the lawn.

Is It Safe?

Robotic lawn mowers provide several necessary safety features. They come with sensors that detect mower lift and have a child lock. They also identify obstacles like trees and rocks. This makes a robotic mower more safe than a conventional walk-behind mower.
